Aitor Throup is one of my favourite artist he much rather could be compared to my local people from DemoBaza, cept they have a more commercial appeal

Aitor Throup was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1980. He has also lived in Spain
and finally moved to the northern English town of Burnley when he was twelve. It was in
Burnley that Throup developed a passion for the technologically advanced garments
from labels such as Stone Island and C.P. Company. It was a mixture of Aitor’s interest in
these ground-breaking products and his own passion for drawing and designing comic
book characters that led him to begin a BA in Fashion Design at Manchester
Metropolitan University, from where he graduated with first class honours in 2004. In
2006, he completed an MA Postgraduate Degree in fashion menswear at the Royal
College of Art in London.
Aitor is fascinated with anatomy and his main interest is drawing. Aitor's hand drawn
characters become the primary tool in the exploration of his ‘justified design philosophy’,
which highlights the necessity of a reason or function behind all design features. Aitor's
design process utilises innovative methods of design and construction, in particular a
three stage construction process of ‘drawing, sculpture, garment’. Throup’s graduate
collection from the RCA was entitled ‘When Football Hooligans Become Hindu Gods’
which had a strong narrative thread running through it and a diverse selection of
influences from generic military garments to Hindu symbolism, around which his unique
and innovative design and construction processes were incorporated. He has exhibited
his work at London Fashion Week twice, as part of the MAN show, although not creating
seasonal collections; but rather displaying selected ideas and concepts. His last solo
project was entitled ‘The Funeral Of New Orleans : Part One’, and was exhibited at MAN
in September 2007. The presentation of this collection defied conventional ways of
exhibiting fashion, by choosing to show the pieces on life size sculptures (also created
by Throup) rather than models, each in a different stage of transformation. The
presentation also incorporated a film created in conjunction with SHOWstudio, which
acted as a sort of animated instruction manual, allowing the viewer to not only
understand the transformational mechanics of each piece, but also to learn the narrative
behind the collection.
At ITS#FIVE (International Talent Support #5) Aitor won the Collection of The Year Award
and the I-D Styling Award, and as a result he was a member of the jury at ITS#SIX. He
has also won awards from Levi’s, Umbro, Evisu and Royal Society of Arts amongst
others. He has worked on stories as an Art director/stylist with I-D magazine, Arena
Homme+ and V-Man, and has so far worked on four separate projects with
SHOWstudio. He has exhibited his garments, sculptures and drawings at The Library,
London. In January 2008 Aitor presented his first installment of an on-going seasonal
'Anatomy Series' collaboration with Stone Island at Milan Fashion Week, the results of
which have been stocked in world renowned stores including Dover Street Market in
London, Barneys in New York and L'Eiclareur in Paris amongst others. He has recently
completed and exhibited a special collaboration with C.P. Company, and has also
recently started working as a creative consultant for the British football brand Umbro.

Delfina Delettrez skeleton hand bracelet

From what i've heard Delfina Delettrez is somehow related to Fendi. I read she's a 4th generation Fendi so i guess her parents created the brand or something... She has her own jewellery line and it represents her love 4 nature and anatomy. This bracelet is available here: http://www.luisaviaroma.com

Dior Homme Hi-Top sneaks...

The top fall over around the ankle... these are the sneaks from the spring/summer collection and i don't like em as much as their previous release but the fold-over top could give this dramatic contrast on some skinny jeans...

colab X eboy dreckig looks alot like the Merengue

I was about to cop the dreckig, they are only available in certain countries and i had to order them plus the Merengue looks more luxurious and the dreckig is stripped from all details. The only cool thing about these colab shades are the side shield...The frame is pretty much like the Exalt Cyles's minus the side shield and they fit kinda the same... i guess... lol

i copped the Merengue today

Exalt Cycle, the Merengue is the clubber's dream... these shades aren't really the perfect match 4 a button up and slim fit pants but they are perfect 4 some metalic hi-top sneaks and some casual clothes fit 4 the house club...

Dragon Boy's supa swag shades

TheFarMer in #theneptunes on mIRC (the server is Rizon) just said Drago supa swag shades... and i was like... cot damn that would be a hot model...I really wish i could make that happen but the shades on the pic above are Emporio Armani and their truly are my supa swag shades.

KIL ATWILL killin it...

Les from KIL ATWILL remade the vision "psychostick" ... at 1st i was like "cool, dude made the Dragon Boy piece" but nah... he still working on it...at least i'm a have my own cartoon character and no...dude ain't rocking wayfarer... that's apple bombs all in his shades...

wayfarer are so 2005... if you still rock wayfarer you obviously suck...lol

If you rock wayfarer in 2009, hands down you are a fuckin lame...lol... the only wayfarer i'd still rock is the way shiner by LANVIN... but good luck with finding a pair.

Michael Kors was the 1st dude i saw with alot of neon yellow in his collection...

Neon yellow is like so hot right now. I really want a military jacket in neon yellow. The 1st designer i saw to introduce that color was Michael Kors. Then I saw some Calvin Klein all neon yellow men suits... I'm tryin a get my hands on a pair of these sunglasses by Kors...

revo rimless dvb aviators

I don't usually go 4 aviators but after i saw that akon video i realized denim by Victoria Beckham (dvb) done some serious stuff...lol... these are fabulous... the revo lenses are pretty nice and i just ordered a pair. I'm expecting to try them on in the middle of next week and hopefully they fit me. ha

the metallic red and green hi-top trainers by Christian Peau

The Japanese brand Christian Peau introduced a new line of sneakers and i kinda like the metallic red and green ones...they also have them in brown and black.

logo battles

I know kidrobot makes munnies and dunnies and burn rubber is a sneaker boutique or something (1st time i saw burn rubber was on that big sean varsity he was rockin on the main page of his website) but both their logos are dope as shiiiet... i'd only go with a kidrobot tee cause i like the logo so much...now i'd buy a burn rubber tee just 4 the same reason...

heh... i had to post a pic of me rockin that demobaza shit... lol

That top is hard body...lol...(no yeezy)... they had this top in a photo shoot and i bought it of off them 4 a few bucks...but i'm happy with it. I may not wear it on a daily basis (actually i never wore it outside my house) but i wore it once in the club... and it's nice alos pretty comfy if you like to dance... tecktonik if you know what i mean...

demobaza was also known as demo studio....

This dude Demo and his female companion Tono are my hommies. They reside in Sofia and they both are into this local club fashion that's going on around here. Their approach is really unique... they like turtle neck tops with a bit wider collar and they as they say "reconstruct" denim... you can view more of their work at www.demobaza.com ... they also have an online store and some of their craft is up for sale... they make one of a kind pieces that literally will be hard to dublicate...

hello there friend....

I finally decided to create my own blog. Cool huh ?! Dragon Boy vs Tech Couture is basically my lifestyle, whether i'm going against tech couture or something else... i'm always in a battle... that's how it goes i guess or that's how i chose to be. I live in Sofia or as we call it Slum City and my real name is Dragomir. People will ask me what is tech couture... well i don't think there is an overall deffinition of the term but to me... electro and slim fit denim created this very expression. lol Actually i hate hipsters and most of the artist these kids go 4... but i like electro infulenced beats when it comes to rap tracks and when it comes to fashion...well... if you follow this blog you'd get a pretty clear idea of what i (Dragon Boy) think tech couture really stands 4...
